My husband and I both LOVE wine. We’ve taken some pretty awesome vacations and our trips to Napa and its wineries are always some of our favorites. Since we live on Long Island we are pretty close to the wineries here on the east end and also some further upstate in the Mid-Husdon Valley. I would like to say we get to visit them often, but our boys are not big fans of this activity, so we’ve only been to a handful. This summer we visited the Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery – really amazing place! We were in the car leaving and debating whether or not to go to another nearby, and the kids start chanting “No More Wineries” from the back seat…

With three young boys, we drink our fair share of wine each week (I don’t want to say each night…). So we are always searching for the best value – a delicious wine at an affordable price. I think so far we’ve done a pretty good job and definitely have our favorites that I look forward to sharing. My husband prefers reds – especially a deep, earthly Cabernet Savignon. I drink whites, my latest favorites are New Zealand Savignon Blacs. But really I drink all white except Chardonnay. I cannot stomach a Chardonnay! We both love a good Rosé.

What price point do we consider affordable? Funny, my husband thinks that you have to pay more for a good red than you do a good white. He may not be totally wrong. We typically spend $8.99-$13.99 on a bottle of white and $12.99-$17.99 on a bottle of red. We stay as close as we can to the $10 mark but also don’t really ever go over $20 per bottle.

We’re always looking for recommendations of new bottles to try and would love to hear some of yours 🙂
